Diagnostics in dentistry

• Computed tomography. The Clinic is equipped with a Pax-iZD SC15x15 dental radiography scanner with a cephalostat, which produces volumetric, full-sized images of the scanned area. 
• Orthopantomogram. This method of radiographic examination provides a panoramic image of the upper and lower jaw to determine the methodology of orthodontic treatment. 
• Targeted intraoral radiography. Radiotherapy can be performed either in the periapical or interproximal region. The first method allows the evaluation of the tissue and root condition. The second method allows the evaluation of the crown area. 

Prevention and medical treatment

For the prevention of dental diseases, the Clinic offers professional dental care using the latest dental hygiene methods: 

• Ultrasound method
• Air-flow treatment. This method uses a special mixture of water, air and special powder to be sprayed under pressure onto the teeth. It is used for hard-to-reach places. It does not damage the enamel.
• Vector therapy. By using fine carbon tips, it is possible to remove the smallest plaque and polish the root surface deep below the gum. The teeth are coated with a special calcium hydroxyapatite suspension to strengthen the dental tissue and increase resistance to infection. This method allows detection and removal of plaque in hard-to-reach areas, supragingival plaque and subgingival calculus, restoring blood circulation to the gums and improving the aesthetic appearance of the teeth.
• In-office teeth whitening with the Beyond Pro Light Dental Whitening System. This procedure involves applying a gel (containing hydrogen peroxide) to the teeth and exposing them to the cold halogen light source, which does not heat up or damage your teeth or gums. Teeth can be lightened by several shades. The treatment is suitable even for sensitive teeth. The treatment is performed only after a consultation with the dentist.

The medical treatment includes:

• aesthetic restoration of damaged anterior teeth with modern light-reflective composite fillings; 
• treatment of all types of carious lesions of the masticatory teeth;
• treatment of all types of complicated caries (pulpitis, periodontitis) using rotary methods;
• restoration of decayed teeth with glass fibre or titanium anchor posts;
• treatment of oral mucous diseases
• treatment of periodontal disease − gingivitis, periodontitis.

Treatment and prevention for pregnant women

Regular dental check-ups are necessary during the whole pregnancy even if the mother-to-be has never had any problems with her teeth. 

Orthodontic treatment for adults

The treatment is recommended for correcting malocclusions and the shape of the dental arch, returning the teeth to their correct position and eventually improving facial proportions and preventing dental diseases. 

Surgical treatment

• Periodontal surgery. Removal of abnormalities of the peri-tooth tissue with frenuloplasty or vestibuloplasty, an operation which recesses the vestibule of the mouth.
• Tooth extraction 
• Tooth-preserving surgery
• Implants
• Implantology allows for the successful and safe restoration of the tooth row. Prosthetics is performed with the help of implants − artificial tooth roots, usually titanium screws that are inserted in the jaw and then either fitted with a crown or a denture. The Clinic offers dental implants produced by reliable European manufacturers that have proven their reliability and ensure excellent anchorage. 
• Guided surgery. The use of modern diagnostic and planning methods helps to solve problems of any complexity, minimising the traumatic impact of the procedure. One of the examples is the use of surgical templates. They allow implant positioning without incisions and stitches, thereby minimising post-operative complications and facilitating healing.

Treatment of temporomandibular joint diseases

Over the last decade, these diseases have progressed very rapidly and are becoming increasingly common among patients. There can be various factors that lead to loss of tooth volume and structural and functional changes in the joint. To ensure relevant treatment, the Clinic employs the most modern protocols and methods, as well as advanced technical equipment such as articulators, facial arches and electronic axiographs.

The system makes it possible to identify and determine the causes of functional disorders of the jaw (restricted, excessive movement or discoordination of movements).

Prosthetics

The use of digital methods to produce dental impressions. It is no longer necessary to use mash-like masses that harden in the mouth to produce dental impressions. There is a convenient and easy method by using a digital scanner. The 3D TROIS scanner minimises discomfort for the patient and reduces the time required for the procedure. 

• Aesthetic prosthetics. The Clinic uses soft treatment − 'aesthetic prosthetics' − to improve the shape and conceal the irregular colour of the anterior teeth. The treatment includes semi-crowns and veneers, produced by Emax technology.
• Ceramic dentures. Emax ceramics have a long-lasting colour preservation and are durable even under extreme conditions. Its appearance and physical properties are similar to dental tissues. 
• Ceramics cover the metal framework of the tooth.
• Zirconia crown prosthetics. A zirconia framework is biocompatible with the human tissues, non-allergenic, safe and has few or no contraindications.
• ALL-on-4 prosthesis. An innovative method to fix dentures in the treatment of complete eduntulism. The method consists of inserting four posts at a certain angle into the jawbone, to the locking points of which a fixed complete denture is then fitted. 
• Removable prosthesis. The Clinic offers all kinds of removable prosthesis in the treatment and diagnostic facilities.  The removable dental prosthesis not only restores the dental row, but also helps to save the remaining teeth that suffer from high and uneven pressure.
