St. Petersburg University Hospital is a unique clinical institution where all 280 inpatient beds are fully dedicated to surgical care. Every year, our team performs approximately 29,000 surgical procedures. That is why the core principle of our work is the continuous advancement of specialized surgical services within a major federal hospital center. Having accumulated extensive practical and academic expertise across key medical fields, we have launched Fellowship Programs — hands-on clinical training designed for international physicians of various specialties.

These are not just short-term conferences or seminars, but an immersion into our everyday work.
Work in the operating room: live surgery with discussion of details and technical features of operating room equipment, patient preparation, anesthetic nuances of modern minimally invasive interventions. Demonstration of a fleet of high-tech surgical equipment.

Available Fellowship Tracks

We offer programs from 2 weeks to 3 months, in some cases — up to a year. Short-term programs are convenient for both applicants and the inviting party, as you can come and complete the course on a tourist visa if the duration of study does not exceed 30 days.

Advanced Endocrine & Thyroid Surgery

High-volume thyroid/parathyroid procedures, intraoperative neuromonitoring, minimally invasive techniques

Breast & Skin Surgical Oncology

A state-of-the-art center for the comprehensive treatment of malignant and benign breast conditions, skin and soft tissue tumor resection, and post-oncological aesthetic and reconstructive surgery.
